It's been a year crazier than a trader's heart rate during a margin call!

Prop Firms: The Great Exodus 📉

1/ The Prop Firm Purge

We saw more firms go belly-up than a fish in a toxic lake.

The Funded Trader and True Forex Funds said "sayonara," leaving traders with more ghosted accounts than their Tinder profiles.

2/ MetaTrader Mayhem

Early 2024 saw prop firms ditching MetaTrader faster than you could say "margin call."

Traders were left scrambling like ants at a picnic, trying to learn new platforms overnight like CTrader, DXTrade and Match Trader.

The good news is the industry now has a TradingView integration with DXTrade and CTrader, our personal favourite, is just a beauty to work with.

3/ Influencer Implosion

Turns out, being TikTok famous doesn't guarantee prop firm success.

We saw more influencer firms crash and burn than failed New Year's resolutions.

But of course, this isn’t surprising. ❌ 

With just a drop of common sense (which isn’t so common), you could have avoided getting scammed by these firms.

4/ Futures Frenzy

As we close out 2024, futures firms are popping up like mushrooms after rain. Looks like 2025 might be the year of "future shock" for forex traders!

In all seriousness, though, we do expect the mayhem we saw in 2024 to move to the future space in 2025…

1/ Bitcoin's Cosmic Climb: BTC didn't just break records; it shattered them, moonwalked on the pieces, and kept going. From $40k to $100k+, it's been a ride smoother than your pickup lines after three espresso martinis.

2/ 🇺🇲 Dollar Domination: The greenback flexed harder than your gym buddy on Instagram. EUR/USD hit parity again, making European vacations great again for Americans.

3/ 📉 Fed's Rate Cut Fiesta: Powell and the gang finally cut rates, and the market partied harder than a frat house on spring break.

According to Polymarket, the market thinks there’s a 62% chance Trudeau will be out by April.
