Can't Buy the Next Big AI IPO Yet? Watch These 3 Stocks.

Wall Street is preparing for what could become one of the biggest AI IPOs in history. But ordinary investors may have to wait until shares begin publicly trading to participate directly.

A new, free briefing reveals all three tickers, potential entry prices, and a bonus fourth company holding thousands of patents tied to the AI race.

🩸 The Worst Day Since June, And Where To Look Now

Yesterday was ugly. The Nasdaq closed down 2.9%, its biggest single-day drop since June 5, erasing nearly $1.2 trillion in market value in one session. Stocks fell across the board, and even gold and silver, the assets you’re supposed to hide in when things get scary, got dumped right alongside everything else. When almost nothing works in a single day, it’s worth understanding what happened, because these moments are exactly when the patient get rewarded.

What triggered the plunge

Two big forces collided at once:

  • ⚔️ The war escalated. Fears jumped that the US and Israel could resume strikes on Iran after the November 3 midterms. Personnel were reportedly evacuated from parts of the Middle East, and Iran-backed forces hit fresh Gulf targets.

  • 🛢️ Oil surged. Those war fears sent crude to a five-month high, which stokes inflation worries and keeps pressure on interest rates.

  • 🤖 AI doubts returned. Nvidia’s CEO said the money funding the AI boom is becoming “scarce,” rattling investors who want proof all this spending pays off. The chip index plunged nearly 7%.

Here’s the part most people missed

While the headline indexes bled, the average stock held up far better:

  • 📊 Breadth was positive. The equal-weight S&P 500, which treats every company the same, actually rose on the day.

  • 🏆 It was a standout. That gauge had its best day relative to the regular S&P 500 since 2024.

  • 🎯 The pain was narrow. The damage was concentrated in a handful of giant tech names, while hundreds of ordinary companies were just fine.

That last point is a huge clue about where the opportunity is hiding.

Where the opportunity is

This is the moment we’ve been preparing for. When quality stocks drop in a broad selloff, you get something Warren Buffett preaches constantly: a margin of safety, the gap between what a great company is worth and the lower price fear lets you grab it for.

  • 🎯 Sharpen your watchlist. Look hard at the quality names you have real conviction in, the businesses you actually understand and believe in long term.

  • 🛡️ Margin of safety matters most. A strong company at a lower price gives you a cushion. It’s the single most important idea in protecting your money while still aiming for gains.

  • 📈 The index is a fine choice too. We love individual stocks, but if you lack strong conviction in a specific name, there’s nothing wrong with owning the broad index. For perspective, the Nasdaq only needs about 8% to reclaim its recent high, and discounts like this don’t come often.

The Munch Take: We’re optimists at heart, and a day like yesterday doesn’t scare us, it interests us. Corrections like this are rare, and they’re where patient investors quietly do their best work. Quick lesson from our own account: the only two positions we added in the past month were McDonald’s and Weyerhaeuser, the timber giant sitting on millions of acres of land. While tech bled yesterday, McDonald’s climbed about 2.5% and Weyerhaeuser jumped nearly 4.5%. They went up on one of the worst days of the year. That is diversification in one tidy example. When you own things that don’t all move together, you’re protected on the ugly days and still in the game. My wife reorganized her closet by color this week while I reorganized my watchlist by conviction, and we both came out calmer. Stay steady, keep that list ready, and remember the best shopping happens when everyone else is too scared to look.
