š Google Just Beat OpenAI And Nobody Clapped
The #1 Energy Stock for the End of 2026
Type a question into a chatbot. Servers in a warehouse somewhere in America wake up to answer it, and they draw power from the grid.
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory says data centers used 4.4% of U.S. power in 2023. Its 2024 report projects a share of up to 12% by 2028.
To power their AI, the tech giants are striking deals for whole power plants. One American energy company sits right where that electricity has to come from.

š¤ Google Dropped Its Best AI Ever, And The Stock Just Shrugged
Google just made a big move. It flipped the switch and released its most powerful AI model yet, Gemini 4 Argon, to developers and businesses around the world. Google calls it a ādeep workā model, built to handle long, complicated jobs in coding, finance, law, cybersecurity, and science. And the stock? It ticked up about 2% and then dropped, closing up only 0.30% for the day. A fine day, sure. Thatās hardly fireworks for a company that just claimed the best AI on the planet.
What Argon actually is
In plain English, Argon is Googleās new flagship brain. It quietly launched to a small group of cybersecurity experts on September 30, and now itās fully public. The big selling point is its ability to chew through long, multi-step tasks, the exact kind of āagenticā work the whole industry is chasing. It can even write up to a million words in a single answer, which is a real technical flex.
How it stacks up
Hereās the fun part. By Googleās own scorecard, Argon beats or ties the best models from its rivals on 13 of 19 tests. Its biggest wins are in brainy professional work like financial research and legal drafting. On one legal test, it crushed the competition. Itās not a perfect sweep, though. Argon loses on a few coding and science tests, so the race is still close. Google also priced it cheap to steal customers, a clear sign it wants to win on cost.
The numbers
$GOOGL has had a great year. The stock trades around $354, up roughly 12% so far in 2026, and itās been a monster over five years. Itās also not expensive, trading at about 17 to 18 times earnings, cheaper than most of its Big Tech cousins. The next big date is October 28, when earnings drop.

š The Bull Case:
Google Cloud is on fire. Cloud sales exploded 82% last quarter to $24.8 billion, with a jaw-dropping $514 billion of future business already lined up. Thatās proof the AI spending is paying off.
It owns the whole stack. Google makes its own chips, runs its own cloud, builds its own AI, and reaches billions of people through Search, YouTube, and Android. Almost nobody else has every piece.
The price is sane. At 17 to 18 times earnings, Google is far cheaper than its flashier AI rivals, which gives investors a nice cushion if things get bumpy.
š The Bear Case:
The spending is wild. Google is set to spend up to $205 billion building AI this year. Thatās a mountain of cash, and it spooked investors last quarter.
Search is under threat. If people start asking AI chatbots instead of Googling, it could eat into Googleās golden goose: search ads.
Legal clouds linger. Google is still fighting antitrust battles, though the latest ruling landed softer than feared.
The Munch Take: Hereās our honest read. Of all the Big Tech names dumping billions into AI, Google might be the most interesting, and the least loved. Just look at the setup: a top-tier AI model, an 82% cloud growth rate, a half-trillion-dollar backlog, and a cheaper price tag than almost every other AI name. That combination is rare. The fact that the stock barely moved on this news is actually a good thing, because it means the market hasnāt priced in Google winning. That leaves room to run if it does. The risks are real, though. A $200 billion spending bill is no joke, and if chatbots start stealing Search, the whole story flips. Weāre not making a buy call. But when a world-class company is crushing it on growth while trading at a discount to the hype crowd, it earns a spot on the watchlist. For years, people called Google a dinosaur that missed AI. Funny thing is, the dinosaur just dropped a model beating everyone, and nobody clapped. Circle October 28. Thatās when we find out if the cloud rocket keeps flying or the spending finally bites.
