πŸ’‰ The Trade Up 343%

One company sits at the dead-center of Elon's AI takeover...

And James Altucher believes this takeover could mint as many as 1.8 million new "Musk Millionaires."

It's not Tesla, SpaceX, or even a company Elon currently owns. It's a name almost nobody's talking about – and it still trades for less than $100.

James put the whole prediction into his FREE Millionaire Maker Masterclass... including details on exactly what Elon filed with the FCC and how you can position yourself before December 8.

πŸ’‰ The Trade Up 343%

One of the most talked-about stock trades of the year belongs to someone who isn't a Wall Street trader at all. A disclosed stock purchase in President Donald Trump's portfolio is up roughly 343%, according to Quiver Quantitative, a firm that tracks politicians' trades. The stock is Moderna ($MRNA), the vaccine company behind one of the best-known COVID shots. This isn't about politics or who you voted for, it's a window into why so many investors watch what people in power are buying.

What the filing actually showed

Under a law called the STOCK Act, top officials, including the president and members of Congress, must publicly report their stock trades. The president files these on a form called the OGE 278-T with the Office of Government Ethics. Officials only report a dollar range, not an exact amount, and the report can show up weeks after the trade. Trump's filing from May listed a Moderna purchase on March 2, 2026, worth between $15,001 and $50,000, plus a second Moderna buy on March 17.

The managed account wrinkle

Here's an important detail for fairness. The White House and the Trump Organization have said outside firms manage these accounts and that the president doesn't pick the trades. The filing marks its trades as "unsolicited," which fits that explanation, and that one filing listed more than 2,000 trades. We're not here to judge any of that, we're just laying out what the documents say.

Why the stock exploded

Moderna closed at about $52.85 on March 2. Then came one huge piece of news on August 19, when Moderna and its partner Merck ($MRK) said a late-stage trial of their personalized cancer vaccine hit its goals in melanoma, a serious skin cancer. It was a big first for mRNA cancer treatment, and Moderna's stock jumped about 177% in a single day. In October the stock also rejoined the Nasdaq-100, and Moderna closed at about $245.81 on October 21.

Why people track these trades at all

There's now a whole industry built around tracking politicians' stock trades. The idea is simple and a little uncomfortable, because the people who write laws and oversee agencies sometimes sit close to news that moves stocks. A well-timed trade is not proof of anything improper, and plenty of these bets lose money too. Still, the public interest is obvious, which is exactly why these disclosures exist.

Moderna ($MRNA) stock price, last 6 months

πŸ“ˆ The Bull Case:

  • πŸ”¬ The science looks real. The cancer vaccine result is a genuine medical milestone, and if the technology keeps working, it opens a market far bigger than COVID shots.

  • πŸ“… More news is coming. The full melanoma trial data was set for release on October 24, which gives the story fresh fuel either way.

  • 🧬 It's more than one drug. Moderna has approved products and a pipeline that reaches into rare diseases, so it has a base to lean on while the cancer work develops.

πŸ“‰ The Bear Case:

  • 🎒 The stock may be ahead of itself. Moderna has more than quadrupled since March, so a lot of good news is already baked into the price.

  • πŸ’‰ The old business is shrinking. COVID vaccine demand has fallen hard, and that older revenue is under pressure.

  • ⏳ Biotech is a rollercoaster. One disappointing trial or regulatory setback can erase big gains fast.

The Munch Take: My wife asked why I spend my evenings reading government disclosure forms, and the honest answer is they're sometimes more exciting than anything on TV. The real lesson isn't about one trade or one politician. It's that a lot of useful information sits in public filings, free for anyone willing to dig. With Moderna, the thing to watch is whether the cancer vaccine keeps delivering, because that science is what's actually moving the stock.
